About Our School
The community of Our Lady of La Salette supports a parish Catholic School. We believe that our school nurtures the doctrines and traditions of the Catholic faith and helps all students grow spiritually. Within a structured and nurturing environment, our students develop their intellectual and social skills, and their moral values. The faculty and staff are dedicated to helping each student develop his/her own potential. A discount on tuition may be offered to registered parishioners who actively support the parish community through an appropriate offering of their time, talents and treasure.

Our Lady of La Salette School is accredited by the Michigan Nonpublic School Accrediting Association and is recognized for academic excellence.

The school offers preschool and kindergarten programs as well as grades one through eight.

We provide students with a secure and disciplined environment, superior academic achievement, growth in religious awareness and an appreciation of Catholic Christian morals and values.

  • Parent Organizations
Here are some of the active organizations that parents can join at La Salette:

    Boosters:
The Boosters are a group of parishioners organized to support the youth athletic programs and various parish activities. The group emphasizes sportsmanship and Christian values. The Boosters spend time working and socializing together. Membership is open to all parish members and the parents of youth participants in the sports programs.

    PTO:
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Our Lady of La Salette consists of all parents whose children attend our school. The PTO is responsible for enhancing the educational experience by sponsoring cultural activities and offsetting expenses of the school. It organizes fundraisers to help pay for the school's computer science and other educational programs. You can visit the PTO website at http://pto.lasalette-school.org/.

    PTO, Volunteering, and Fundraising
As we begin planning next year events, please keep in mind that HRAMIEC RUN will be in early October. This is THE fundraiser for PTO which primarily funds classroom and teachers items. In the past few years, this has been PTO's only fundraiser. Without it, we cannot operate. We know it comes on the heels of festival and other fall expenses, but PTO has no budget without Hramiec Run. This is a school wide event and donations are voluntary, but we do ask each family to try to raise at least $150. Of this money, $11,000 must go to the parish budget for our school's fundraising requirement. More information will come at the beginning of September, but please keep it in mind as you plan your fall budget. Click here to read more.

    School Committee:
The School Committee, made up of dedicated parents and parishioners, is an advisory board to the principal. The committee is made up of four specialized subcommittees to better use our diverse talents: Academic, Advancement, Technology, and Marketing. Which subcommittee would you like to join?

    Dad's Club:
Our Lady of La Salette Parish has formed a Dad's Club (formerly the "Do-Dad's"), and we're looking for you. The Dad's Club will serve a variety of purposes from providing assistance to the school (whether it be helping to clean up, adopting classrooms, offering expertise, being visible at events, etc.) to simply offering each other moral support (after school hours of course). All interested dads please send me a response so I can begin creating the database. We need your help! Get involved today, unlimited spots still available... so don't delay!
